Had a great time at this bar! Friendly even tho we didn’t speak any Japanese. Excellent drinks 😍 there’s no menu so just tell him what you like, or in my case I said “bartender’s choice”. There are only 9 seats in the bar, can get busy fast.

Gin and tonic is the cleanest and most refreshing I’ve ever had 🍋 also had a great martini, and wine based “sangria”, and blended pear with white wine. He also gave us some snacks to nib on with our drinks.

Total came out to be roughly 3,500 yen ($25 usd) per drink. We don’t really know, must be based on ingredient 🀷🏻‍♀ but it’s worth it! 😆 would go back!

Kaara Bar was our best find of the trip. From the minute we sat down, Takahashi-san went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. From explaining ingredients to us to pampering us with little snacks, it was truly a lesson in Japanese hospitality.

Each drink was impeccably made. Their famous gin and tonic hit the spot. We also tried a beautiful 3 year old ume liquore recommended by Takahashi-san and my husband had a interesting rendition of a Bloody Mary with bacon / clam flavors.

There is no menu per se, but with Takahashi-san skill level, that is not a problem as each drink did not disappoint!
