the mapo tofu set was so delicious! we arrived just as the restaurant opened and were seated straight away with no reservation, service was hospitable and efficient, will definitely come back next time i'm in shibuya

There's a sign outside that says The best mapotofu in Tokyo and they're absolutely correct. To be honest it might be the best in the world. I haven't had better yet, and while I haven't tried all of the mapotofu in the world yet, I was very pleasantly surprised.

I’m pretty sure this is the best mapo tofu I’ve ever had. In all fairness, this place is certainly known for it and it’s pretty much all they serve. But man is it good. The spicy level is just right and it has a perfect balance of ingredients and flavors. The rice and sides that go with it compliment the whole thing. The sui gyoza are also quite delicious. The staff was friendly and the service was fast. Highly recommend trying this place out.

Mapo tofu is my favorite food and my comfort food so I have high expectations and this store indeed meet my expectations.

Going there for early dinner at 17.10 and there were already some people waiting for it to open at 17.30.

Ordered the lunch set and some gyoza. Lunch set is awesome, but the gyoza is just ok for me.

Would definitely come back whenever I am in Tokyo.

Liked the taste but way too crowded. Mapo-tofu plate is 1380yen, you can choose big portion rice without extra charge.
