Kamaya - Café Du Réverbère

My husband and I loved how accommodating the staffs are towards our needs as Muslims. They even provided a halal menu for us. The food was extraordinary and we felt that the environment was homely and relaxing. The shaved strawberry ice was definitely the star of the show and a must try!! 😋

Food was good, portion was just nice but may vary from person to person. We got a nice window view of the street while having our meal too. Staff speaks good English and there are separate menus for Muslims and vegans.

Set meal comes with soup and appetizers. The coconut chicken curry rice had ?oyster mushrooms added in it which was surprisingly good. The sous vide egg was perfectly prepared and complimented the teriyaki chicken rice.

Overall great experience for a first meal in Nikko.

If I'm not mistaken this is the only halal cafe in Nikko. I ordered Japanese chicken curry and it was very delicious. The chocolate cake taste like Royce. Superb. Not too sweet. Just nice. We were lucky to came in at 2.30pm because the cafe closed at 3pm. Thank you for the good food!

Super friendly staff very welcoming and considerate of muslim customers. Their special halal menu is so informative that it shows how they handle kitchenware for halal separately. Cutlery is muslim-friendly too.
And needless to say, the food was really delicious!

Muslims welcome! You can eat halal food in this cafe. I was surprised by the chili powder that's actually spicy. The cheesecake is so good.
