A shop famous for its traditional Japanese fried snack food called Karinto. They are usually made from flour, yeast and brown sugar but like this shop, white sugar is often used. If you don't have sweet tooth they have various savoury rice crackers.
It's very convenient that they offer free paper bags.

Really like this shop. Owners were so kind and even gave gift bags for each karinto I've purchased. So delicious karinto as well.

Wanted to buy some sweets for a gift, but wasn't sure what kind of sweets they sell. Even though nobody speaks English, they were very kind and opened one pack for me to try. It was very sweet and crunchy, but not for me. They are very friendly and it seems they do custom packaging too, so the sweets would feel special. Many locals came and bought sweets there.
