First food in Japan and this was perfect! The meat was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The egg is a must add and adds a lot more flavor to the dish. The medium size rice is just right (and was actually way more for my wife who watches what she eats unlike me).
All the dishes are the same price of ¥1500 with the egg adding another ¥100 to it. Cash only!
They provided a small cup of cold tea, a bowl of soup at the start as well. They refill the tea but be careful not to fill up on it.
Excellent place. Was worth the hype and will definitely go back before we leave Tokyo!

Phenomenal katsudon! The price for a small, medium and large are the same price 1,500yen the size is just determining how much rice you want. My husband had the extra egg (you pay 100yen prior to eating) he loved it. I had the small dish and was a decent amount. It was so crispy and the sauce in the bottom of the bowl was so savory and sweet. You get a small soup and tea served with your meal. There was a line when we arrived but it moves quick. **this is a 8 seater restaurant. Highly recommend!

We came around 10.45am and waited around 45min-1hr. The place is tiny seating around 8-10. We were perched on the counter seats with full view of the chefs cooking. Ordered the katsu + egg (this is a must). As expected, batter was super crispy. The egg was soft. The special part was the sweet sticky sauce that smothered the egg and rice. Overall it was good however I wouldn’t queue up for it again. Delicious but not life changing or memorable.
