Katsura Steak House Review Summary

Highly recommend this steak house.
The chef was amazing, cooking the dishes in front of you and explaining thoroughly the cooking and the process. The Wagyu Beef is exquisite and the meal was delicious.
Highly recommend + staff is amazing

Located in a large garden area, the setting is ideal. The food was of good quality somewhat reflective of the price. The chefs delivered a good presentation but I felt the wait staff was a little lacking. Small things like being asked about drink orders multiple times and lead staff that gave a sense of being above the job. This made the execution of the meal slightly off, especially at a $1,000USD price tag ($250/person). I wasn’t disappointed but will probably try elsewhere should the opportunity arise.

The steakhouse is inside the absolutely stunning gardens between the Prince Hotel and Prince Takanawa Hotel. At night the trees and structures are illuminated by beautiful LED lighting of different colors.
Still, we came for the food, again, and it was, as always, delicious. We opted for a private room so that the group of 5 of us could enjoy the more intimate setting. Based on previous experience, all of us ordered the Kobe beef, 'like butter'.
This is not a place if you need to watch your budget. But, if you can manage it, it is a delight.

Exchange rate for dollars is fantastic at the moment so I tried the 9,500 yen (approximately $63) menu. 4 ounce waygu sirloin was melt in your mouth delicious as we're the grilled vegetables. Salad, rice, and pickled vegetables as an accompaniment to the meal. Following the main course, was moved to a lounge area for dessert which was a tart cherry milk pudding. Everything tasted great, service was super attentive and the atmosphere was beyond relaxing.

Quality of the ingredients was top notch and the wine list very impressive. The staff was very professional and the chef was warm and charming. We all had an excellent evening and will definitely be back!
