If I could give 6 stars, I would certainly do. Always had deep fried pork fillet but never had this so juicy and great pork taste. It’s named one of the top 3 Tonkatsu in Tokyo. Even the beer was perfect. Suggest reservations in order to avoid full house. 150g fillet costs Y2350.

This place is 5 stars and more, and let me break it down for you below.

1. Food quality - I have eaten hundreds of Ton Katsu all over the world, this is hands down one of the top 5. The ingredients used in every part of tif mela is of great quality, from the wasabi, sauce to the meat. No one likes tough and hard pork, the chef handcraft and hammer ever piece of meat to perfect tenderness.

2. Great service - staff took time to explained how to enjoy the ton katsu with the sauce and dippings.

3. Not racist unlike 90% of the restaurants in this area that straight out reject travelers at the door. They took the time to have English subtext to each menu item. Even though we didn’t have a reservation, we got a seat since there were empty spaces, unlike other restaurants who refused reservation and when you reach tells you all next 5 days have been fully reserved.

Summary:
If you want great Tonkatsu, good service in a comfortable and peaceful environment, you shouldn’t miss this.

As someone that makes panko-crusted dishes often at home..watching the chef prepare the katsu with such focus and care was rather inspirational. Very attentive and friendly customer service. I recommend eating the katsu with pink salt rather than with the overpowering tonkatsu sauce!
