Kenzo Estate Winery Review Summary

So much fun and very good wine. We went with the supreme tasting line about 128 yen for five glasses. Each of them is a red wine and each one was very good. I would visit this Napa Valley winery next time we are in California.

Love the atmosphere of the quiet but chic Kenzo location. The wine is Incredible by itself, but paired with an amazing menu and impeccable service- you will be back again and again!

Fussy service. The guy on the phone asked me to spell my name about 5 times and didn't follow protocol to let me finish my sentence... only to realize that my hard to spell name wasn't on their printed list when we arrived. I am a local and speak Japanese so they clearly can't pull the gaijin card. It's a detail but an embarrassing one for a place which is this pretentious.
Now that's not the worst part. While their wines are actually good (although there is obviously a limited selection), the food is a different story. Simply don't eat here. The scallop was rubbery & tasteless. Adding cumin seeds and carrots isn't going to work. And charging 2000 jpy for lettuce with convenience store ham is wrong. The only decent thing was the guinea fowl confit. I should ordered steak.
