The restaurant is easy to be found. The atmosphere is quite good. I really recommend the tourist to try this. The price is a little bit high however, the taste of food is reasonable for this price such as the tempura is initially 230 yen per each and the set of 12 sushi is roughly 3800 yen.

The queue outside was quite big, but after 15m we've been sited. Not so bad. The restaurant looks really good. The lunch menu was a bit limited, but still you can get a sushi or tempura set. Prices are Kyoto usual, a sushi set is 2000, a tempura set is 1000, sashimi set a 1000. Total with drinks for lunch menu for 2 was 5000.

Tempura was super fresh, selections of bites, grilled, fried, and sushi was great. Value for money too.
Retro restaurant ambience mixed with traditional Japanese wooden setting.
Dined in around 7 pm luckily no line outside.

So so recommended!!! We didn’t book but we only waited 30’ (many ppl have to wait more).
It was recommended by a local and we are so happy we went before finishing our trip. Very local and casual vibes with lots of Japanese people. The staff does not speak a lot of English but we managed to communicate and order delicious dishes.
The preferred tempuras: yellow tail snapper (fish), pumpkin, half boiled egg. At this place, the tempura is definitely the star of the show. We also ordered a sushi that was delicious and zero common back in Europe (omelette with eel).

It's a wonderful morden style izakaya restaurant. Love food and should go along with some sake very smoothly. Liked it. Surely will come again.
