What I didn’t like about the place is that we were ‘forced’ to order a drink.
We usually don’t have a drink with our meals, but because of the ‘enforcement’ from the restaurant, we have to EACH get a drink (alcoholic or carbonated).
Food was small portion, 580yen 380yen, we had to order quite a few portion to fill ourselves up, and ended up paying quite a lot for lunch.
We had some grilled chicken on skewer, grilled eggplant, grilled chicken, grilled leek, and fried avocado which was something new for us. Food was alright tasting, but nothing to shout about.

Stumbled upon this izekaya towards the end of lunch hour, and it was DELICIOUS. The Chasu Egg was the stand out dish, but both the lamb and chicken yakiniku were amazing and cooked perfectly. The grilled onigiri wasn’t bad either. Such interesting dishes that filled out bellies.

Chanced upon this yakitori place at the basement of odakyu shinjuku mall. Quite packed on a friday evening after work but managed to get a seat for myself. Really liked the bonjiri(chicken tail), chicken skin with lotsa garlic and speing onions, liver and grapefruit shochu sour. The rest are okay! Chicken meatballs, tongue, wagyu beef, shishito. Total bill for one 4.6k yen, far cheaper than what I usually pay for in Singapore 😬😬😬 wanted to try the western oden like truffle daikon, liver pate crab coleslaw but too much food for myself. Service is fast and attentive. English menu is available

Food and service wasn’t bad. Probably a good after work/happy hour spot. There was a 1 drink ordered per person requirement & a minimum value appetizer requirement. The dissatisfying/disappointing aspect of our experience was we were not served water when we requested it. Not sure why water was not an option (especially at an establishment specializing in serving alcohol). Overall, the experience was okay. The 3 stars is driven by the unexpected (for us) drink order/appetizer minimums & no water available. However, if this isn’t an issue for you, I think this spot is a convenient end of day place to meet with friends or coworkers.

Recommend chicken meatballs, chicken skin, bbq sweet corn with salt and seaweed flavor . salted green soybeans tastes surprisingly good
