Right from the moment when we failed to open the sliding door, pushing instead, we were served by the delightful duo running this restaurant with wide smiles. Our chef proudly described each dish, explaining the ingredients, subtley measuring our enjoyment of his work with a healthy dose of great humour. Sake recommendations were excellent and modestly priced, pairing brilliantly with each carefully crafted dish. This was an experience as we watched from
the counter facing the kitchen - a briliant experience. We loved this place - the intimate sharing of our journey, with our hosts, only added to the delishishness of his creations displaying the best of Kyoto kaiseki. Thanks, we loved it! A highlight of our visit to Tokyo.

Food is very tasty, fresh, prepared and combined accordingly and well explained by chef Eiji Onoyama. You get to see the chef’s skills by having your dishes prepared in front of you, making this experience even better. The chef was also very friendly with us, having presented even one of his special knives. Really recommend this restaurant, we’ve been here for lunch and we really enjoyed our meals!

Make sure to make a reservation first, this is one of the few restaurants that offers authentic Japanese cuisine, with a reasonable price.
The chef speaks slight English so he could carry a delight conversation during the meal.
The restaurant offers not only low fat and Japanese fish focused cuisines but also a lot of technicality involved. Like the one I posted is, one slice peeled long sheet of radish wrapped with fish.
Even in high-end restaurants you don't see this much often.

Visited Aun back in June for dinner, and it was one of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time. Although the ingredients aren’t too flashy or expensive, you can really see the care Chef puts into each dish and ingredient. Every course was executed so well, and Chef was very accommodating despite the language barrier. Will definitely be back again the next time I am in Tokyo.

The chef was super nice and friendly. My partner and I had a great time chatting with the chef. We spoke some English and some Japanese. I was glad since my Japanese was very very limited. The food was amazing, I mentioned I was obsessed with the onigiri's as it was my first time in Japan. The chef was really kind and made the leftover rice dish into onigiris for me. There was 4, I already ate 1 hahaha. This was a great experience and the best food I had in Japan on this trip. I would highly recommend this place!! Please check it out 😊
