Kyoto Sushi Yamazaki Review Summary

It was a very unforgettable experience in the restaurant.
I was researching for restaurants for birthday celebration and I booked another one. By mistake, we came here. What’s funny is that the actual group who booked arrived later. We got to stay and continue enjoying the meal. I checked this restaurant’s name again and I found out this was one of the top choices for birthday but it was fully booked a month before!!!! In Chinese it is called 緣分 Yuan Fen (fateful coincidence). It was a beautiful mistake!
Food was extraordinary nice and fresh. A cute place owned by family, it was a warm and welcoming place!

Great sushi restaurant, family owned. Sushi was spectacular, service super friendly and the Yamazaki family really now their business. Fresh ingredients and a highly skilled and helpful father-son team, make this a worthy visit for dinner . A must for any sushi lover. English spoken and everyone eager to help in case of doubts . Highly recommended .

Extremely well done sushi experience with exceptional quality and taste! Father and son team were great and very friendly. Small quaint location that has a very simple and really nice sushi bar to enjoy your evening. Plan to spend several hours and enjoy saki with the outstanding variety of sushi!!

What a lovely experience. It is a family affair (father / mother / son) and they were so attentive and kind. Quality was amazing.

We live in New York City and have eaten at some of the finest omakase restaurants. This was one of our favorites of all time. There’s an option to order a la carte, but don’t. The chefs (father and son) pay attention to every bite and accommodate based on what you like. They certainly know how to pick fish, and out of the 20+- pieces we ate, every single piece was amazing. Couldn’t recommend more for an unpretentious, phenomenal food experience.
