This is the best curry in Shimokitazawa🫶
But I have one thing to mention about the customer service:
When we (three people) got the store, there was no two successive tables. There were four tables for two, but people were sitting on the middle two (so the two tables left were separated). (Hope I described it well haha) While the counter seat was empty, we asked the staff how long would it take til we can take the tables, and she said 15 mins seeing the customers’ plate. Then we decided to wait so that we could have a chat facing each other. We’ve waited more than 30 mins, the others still talking even tho they’d already finished their meal. The staff was sorry for us and took their plate (this implies “please leave” in the restaurant in general), but the people didn’t care at all. Finally we decided to take counter seat. The food experience was great and we still enjoy the time, but I wonder why the people staying the table forever don’t take care about us, other customers. They definitely knew we were waiting, the eating place is just one room and we waited literally in front of them eating. I also thought that the staff could have kindly asked them to leave or move the table because they disturb other customers to come in. I think it’s better to do so for both of customers and the store.
Anyways, I just wondered why people there was so selfish:( the staff was nice except for not kicking the people out
I will recommend the curry here🙂↕️

Good curry. The favorite style for both of us was the ground beef one. Very efficient waiting system. There were about 20 people in front of us, but the QR code system allowed us to explore the area while keeping track as the queue dwindled down and arrive right before it was our turn. The staff was also very friendly and it was cute inside.

Sometimes you have to let your nose be your guide. We passed this place on our way to the thai place next door and stopped in our tracks once we smelled the delicious aromas. Luckily we were able to grab a table for two just before closing time. The menu is simple and they have a an illustration and English explanation. Choose between 2 or 3 curries. And this is a Keema curry which is a dish made of minced meat, onions, tomatoes, spices & herbs. I ordered the 2 choice meat -beef and chicken with turmeric rice. And my partner ordered the 3 meat plate. Standouts for both of us were the beef and turmeric rice. I’ll be trying to make that turmeric rice when I get back home to cooking. Service was wonderful and the atmosphere quaint and cozy. By far the most unique and tasty food I had in Tokyo this trip. Oh and add the pickles. They were so tasty!!! I will definitely be back to this place on my next trip to Tokyo.

With so much curry competition in Shimokitazawa, it is no wonder this one is one of the most highly rated. Even on a weekday, they are pretty popular, and they have a waiting system that lets you know where you are in the line, so you can shop in the meantime.
Specializing in keema curries, you can customize your rice, add a range of toppings and choose which curry you would like if you choose 'double', or get all with the 'triple' option.
Each curry was unique and nuanced in textures and flavours, leaving an elevated yet satisfying experience.
Only wish that their English menu had better descriptions of their curry besides the meat because they are detailed and very enticing on the Japanese menu.

Phenomenal curry. I ordered the 3 curry option with turmeric rice. Each of the 3 curries were unique, and in conjunction with the coriander, green chilli, and side mutton achar, it allowed for quite a few flavour permutations. I would place this in my top 10 for curry / spice curry in Tokyo. The masala chai was excellent as well.
