A hidden wine bar located in Ginza, on the Tsukiji Market side, in an area lined with Japanese restaurants.
The location is in the basement of the building in front of Ginza Hyuki.
This is my third visit to the store.
You can prepare it as a course, but this time it's a la carte.
What I received
・Hiroshima Myrtle Rain Pickels' green salad
・Horse thigh and oyster confit tartare
・Seared Spanish Mackerel, Marinated Grilled Eggplant, Shine Muscat, Roquefort Cream Sauce
・Shredded potato frit with truffle flavor
・Iwafune pork belly from Murakami, Niigata prefecture, stewed in red wine and grilled with herbal breadcrumbs
The wine is
I drank three bottles of Champagne, white (Sancerre), and red (Burgundy), but I forgot to take any pictures except for the Champagne...
As it is a wine bar, the wine lineup is spectacular.
However, bottles are available starting at around 8,000 yen.
The portions of each dish are relatively large.
Since there were four of us, we ordered two dishes each and shared them.
What was impressive was the grilled mackerel, grilled eggplant marinade, Shine Muscat, and Roquefort cream sauce.
A variety of ingredients are combined to create a wonderful dish.
The Roquefort sauce is rich but light enough to go well with the grilled mackerel. This item goes well with both white and red!
The main dish is an assortment of two types of pork: braised in red wine and grilled with herbal breadcrumbs. A dish that you can enjoy twice in one dish.
Deliciousness that is hard to beat. It was a dish that brought out the sweetness of the pork fat, and went perfectly with the elegant tannin Burgundy wine.
In the end, I was so full that I gave up on dessert, but the food was amazing.
With its wine, space, and service, it was a restaurant suitable for a hideaway wine bar for adults.
It seemed like there were a lot of regular customers as well!
There are a wide variety of glass wines, so even if you are alone at the counter ♡
