Lan Lan Review Summary

I wouldn't go so far as to say it's super cheap, but it's a cheap, authentic Chinese restaurant typical of Ikebukuro.
It has been in business for nearly 20 years, and in the past, there were few restaurants that cooked food with such authentic continental flavors.
Nowadays, the number of customers has increased, so it doesn't feel like something new, but it is always crowded with regular customers.

There is a huge difference between the delicious food and the mediocre food.
You can't go wrong with the Peking duck and black vinegar sweet and sour pork, so we recommend ordering them when you come.

All the items I ordered were delicious.
The price is also reasonable!
Would you recommend the iron pot stick gyoza and stir-fried pork liver?

I decided to drink in Ikebukuro on a weekday night, and made a reservation for the afternoon. I came to the store around 7pm thinking, ``I can make a reservation on the same day,'' and the restaurant was quickly filled with people making reservations. It seems like we were lucky on this day, and it's usually better to make a reservation a few days in advance.

The restaurant is said to be famous for its sweet and sour pork and white mapo tofu, but since there were only two of us, we decided not to order it, instead ordering an assortment of cold dishes, spring rolls, and fried chicken.

I've always loved the style of Chinese izakaya restaurants, so I didn't mind the fact that everything from ordering to serving was quick, the food was delicious, and the customer service was minimal.

If I had to force a negative, smoking is allowed inside the store, but on that day there weren't many people smoking in the store, so I didn't really mind.

Personally, I was happy that there was an all-you-can-drink option. It's a great restaurant where you can enjoy Chinese food accompanied by alcohol and lots of highballs.

There is a town Chinese atmosphere and we went underground.
It seemed suspicious at first, but once I entered, it didn't bother me.

I ordered the all-you-can-drink course with Peking duck for 4,500 yen.
The food was average rather than bad. Overall too salty. I'm at a level where I doubt whether or not I'm tasting it.
There were only 6 pieces of Peking duck for 3 people. I don't want to serve it anymore and I would like to spend more time preparing other dishes.
The fried rice was soggy and tasteless, just like the fried rice you'd get at a fancy house.
The sweet and sour pork was spread meaninglessly all over the plate, and for the three of us, each person had one piece of meat and one piece of potato. The one in the picture is not half eaten lol
The staff's customer service is average.
Also, all seats are smoking.
