Now this place is famous for it's Tantanmen and the chef is very serious about that. We started with two medium hot bowls which were pretty delicious and after I had finished the first I continued with the serious stuff. Chef told us that the second bowl I had ordered is for crazy people, which proved right after a few slurps, but as he offered to pimp it to 'super crazy' I just went with it. Honestly this was beyond my tolerance of spiciness and since he also used Sichuan peppers in his spice and oil mix my mouth went numb and begged me to stop. The water started tearing like metal with my tongue all tranquilized. It was a great and fun experience and the food was very very tasty. Ha, it turns out I'm only crazy. Thank you chef.

Go for the standard bowl â it is better than the premium. Best Tantanmen in Tokyo. Authentic Sichuanese flavors. Chef is serious and not talkative. Go for the noodles not the convo.
