Les Tonneaux Review Summary

Great place to go to for all you can drink. The quality of food and drinks are amazing and the portion is not like any other restaurants in Japan. Highly recommend going there with a group of friends as you will get extremely full (and drunk)! It’s a popular place so definitely need a reservation.

I would rate the place 5 stars if it wasn't so crowded to go. I went there on June 30, 2023. Very good food and drink. Expensive menu, but the place sets itself up for that. I ordered meat with fries and red wine (I posted a photo here). The service was excellent. A pitty it's so crowded. I tried to go twice, I managed the third time, and it's very crowded and noisy inside. However, I would return. Beautiful place, delicious food, good wine and great service.

If you visit Japan, this is one of the best choices for a casual French restaurant in the Chuo area.
The dishes are fantastic, and great wine selections. Great atmosphere. the staff is amiable and fun! A party of 4 or more has to order the prefix, and the plates are still an excellent choice. Once you get tired of ramen and sushi during your travel in Japan, I highly recommend this place!

We visited the restaurant at around 6:30 PM. The atmosphere was really great, and the staff was friendly and talkative. However, we felt rushed as a lot of food came at the same time within a short period. While the food was really nice, the steak came with fried potatoes instead of mashed potatoes, which I would have preferred. Additionally, the fried potatoes were a bit oily. Overall, the price was reasonable, but the service did not meet our expectations.

Quite fabulous. Very well executed with an attentive staff and a very reasonable price. The befstek et frites was very good with the meat extremely tender ( the best I have had), I didn’t even need the sauces. The lamb was a huge portion and equally tender. The chefs penne was good as well. The herring starter had a sweet taste. The chocolate brûlée was equally good. What detracts from five stars was the timing. It took forever to get one of the entrees and towards the end we felt rushed by the staff.
