Lore Japanese Bistro Nihonbashi Review Summary

This place is a hidden gem. As a tourist, I've had an issue with all places requiring reservation or a line-up. To my surprise, I had no issue getting a seat during opening.

I got the lunch set that served both grilled and fried fish. The taste was absolutely fantastic, probably one of my best meals so far. Service was excellent and attentive. They only served the next course when my previous was completed.

I'm not sure why this place isn't getting more buzz. Perhaps it resonates more with the western palette? Regardless, this is a place I would return to in a heartbeat.

Food is very tasty, however the service of the food is slow. We ordered garlic toast and three main dishes for 4 people, the dishes came out one by one and slow so one person ate and finished their meal and had to sit there with nothing while the next person started. One person got their pasta when the rest were ready to eat dessert. The toast came out last lol, it's a bizarre way to serve food. Make sure you specify to the waiter to bring all the food at once if you want to have a good dining experience.

Really tasty food which is a bit expensive for the portion you are served. Drinks are rather expensive and the bar seats on first floor are a bit cramped up.

Accidentally went to this place and I don’t know why it’s not popular enough. We had great lunch here, food was amazing, and perfect service.
