Lumielune Review Summary

If you are looking for a small, stylish chef-owned French restaurant that is warm and unpretentious, yet still serious about food, then lumielune should be on your list. This corner spot is in a residential area on the fringes of Shimokita, away from the throngs yet close enough to be walkable. The table service is professional and can start off a bit stiff, but it warmed as the evening progressed. By the end, you will be amazed that two people (chef + server) can deliver such an amazing meal. Each dish was balanced, composed and delicious.

A lovely Bistro-bar in Shimokitazawa, 4-5min from the station, quietly waits for you at almost the end of the shopping street. Please check their sign and the wine barrel.
So many by the glass/bottle of world natural wines including Japanese ones. Owner Anno-san is a real expert in natural wines and also familiar with aging, so please do not hesitate to ask him your favorites.
By the way, they have opened a new restaurant Yuzuki serving Japanese home-style cuisines last year, that’s lovely, too!

I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. Exquisite food. impeccable service. Extensive wine list.
