first time!
All the way? I heard that pork is delicious, an hour away from home.
We have come to Yokohama!
At a retro shop
I arrived 10 minutes after the store opened at 4pm,
There were already customers on both the 1st and 2nd floors, so I went up the extremely steep stairs to the 2nd floor and sat at the counter.
Beer first.
After that, the store's standard
I received the shochu mixed with oolong tea from the kettle set.
By 5pm, the place was full.
Melty pig tails, ears, stewed meat, etc.
I also had a second helping of Chinese cabbage pickles called spicy Chinese cabbage.
Everything I received was delicious!
By 5pm, the table was full!

Even though it's a special store
The shop staff also welcomes first-time customers.
They were kind, and even though I was the only female customer this time, I had a very relaxing time!

With a feeling of being finished
A part of the bar alley with a very nice atmosphere.
A bar where you can enjoy side dishes of pigs that you don't usually see.
tail, ears etc.
I wonder if it's seasoned with a soy sauce base and cooked under pressure? A style of eating things with mustard vinegar.
Very
The atmosphere is great and the shochu comes in a glass.
The style is to order something split and drink it in a glass.
It's my first time, it's unique, and it has a great atmosphere.
Good atmosphere for people who like to eat rare food
This is a store you can explore!

In Tanukikoji, located in Minamiyuki, Nishi-ku, Yokohama, there are the main store and branch of Maichin, which has a retro Showa atmosphere. When you enter, you will be led up a steep staircase to a bar-style interior on the second floor. The staff will carefully explain the menu and how to make the sauces to first-time customers.

I ordered the delicacy set recommended by Ajichin, and you can enjoy six types: kashira (head), tongue (tongue), pig's feet (feet), mimi (ears), gatsu (stomach), and tail. The delicacy is simmered in a soy sauce-based Japanese sauce, making it tender and delicious. We recommend dipping it in a mustard vinegar sauce and eating it, and you can adjust the sauce to your liking by adding chili oil or garlic.

The tongue and head have a surprisingly light taste, and the gelatinous parts such as pig's feet, ears, and tail are perfect for stews and are delicious. Offal often has a peculiar taste, but there is no odor and you can enjoy the flavor of each part.

For sake, we ordered shochu (25%), and the sight of it being poured into the glass through the characteristic stainless steel spout called a ``kettle'' was a sight to behold.

``Ajichin'' is an ``Important Cultural Property'' of food that is supported by Yokohama locals, and is a restaurant worth visiting once in a while.
