Mark Matsuoka Grill Review Summary

Very pricey for what was a pretty normal meal. It takes a lot to stand out in Tokyo city, where all the food is amazing. Absolutely nothing was wrong, But the highlight of our meal was chicken in the salads we ordered. Unfortunately it feels like the chicken wasn't enough for the amount of salad.

Highly recommend the cheese dip.

Came here for brunch. Holiday lunch menu is available till 4pm. Ordered the tater tots, holiday brunch plate and Reuben sandwich. The tater tots reminded me of diners in the states but the avocado shrimp with fish egg was very Japanese so it was a good fusion. The portion was pretty big but you can’t bring the leftovers home so try to eat them all! The sausage was really good but on the oily side.

I had the most incredible Japanese Bolognese with pure Wagyu beef. I have been here before and it was already top notch but the second time it was even better. The flavour was some of the amazing thing I have ever tried and trust me I have travel a fair a lot. First I had the whole restaurant for myself, second Teru and his Chef were awesome. To the owner, give these two people a raise please. Plates were presentable and clean. Superb restaurant. Hope to dine there again!

Super friendly staff, delicious food, and good wine... But somehow I felt a bit hungry and not impressed at the end. The salad was fresh but lacking taste. While the meat was top quality the size was a bit small, and the variety of salts is an amazing twist but wish it has something else to pair the meat with... Pepper or a sauce could be nice.... The rest of the dishes were OK, thd meat gratin was nice but a bit fatty...

This Bolognese pasta was just plasticky supermarket grade pasta with a meat patty on the top. And it cost 4000 yen. I paid 14,000 in total for two beers, one sangria for my date and a few morsels of food. Unacceptable.

Days later and I'm still mad about this. One of the worst restaurants I've ever been to, also one of the most expensive.
