A special gem we found near our hotel. We passed by the previous day and saw a long queue and then we decided to visit the next day. Lucky for us, they was no queue when we arrived around 8pm.

We ordered the soy sauce ramen and the clam flavoured one. The star of the show was definitely the noodles and the chashu. The noodles were springy and chewy (on the harder side just like I love). The chashu was crazy good, one of the best I have had, super tender and flavoured well. The sprinkle of black pepper was unique and added a special flavour too.

We also tried the pork rice as a side. Again, it didn’t disappoint. The pork was glazed well with a delicious sauce and barbequed so it added a charcoal/burnt taste which was super good.

Please do give this place a try if you’re in the area! I would definitely visit again!

My sis discovered this resto which was near to the Koyto International Manga Museum, so we intentionally visited there.
.
Four of us ordered the Hachiku. The broth was mild soup blended with various soy sauce and shellfish. The ramen was firm to the point and the charsiu pork was tender and smooth. The broth was clear but really savoury, making it not heavy to have. The egg yolk of the soft-boiled egg was runny too.

My dad got Kurochiku. The broth was dark coloured soy sauce with wine, therefore it tasted heavier than ours. The yuzu in the ramen reduced the greasiness of the dish. The charsiu pork was huge.

Additionally, my sis ordered Pork Rice Bowl too. She appreciated how the oil of the pork sipped into the rice, making the dish smell really nice. The pork was tasty and soft as well.
.
A really small resto which was separated into two floors. We waited for a while even we went there at around 1400. Super economical and yummy. Big chance to encore if I revisit Kyoto.

Wonderful little ramen shop near our hotel. It's different from most ramen styles we had in the past. In fact, I have never had this type of chasiu before. The broth was flavorful with so much umami exploded in my mouth. The noodle was perfectly cooked. An ice cold glass of beer ended the meal on a high note. We will definitely come back here. Note: the line could get very long so swing by Nishiki market near by if you don't want to wait.
