Mikamo Review Summary

Excellent Sashimi and fantastic sake-steamed clams, the broth was so flavourful, absolutely delicious. The owner was extremely kind and friendly. You better book ahead because this area is super busy.

If you want to have lunch here, it’s better to make reservations before you come. We ordered a bbq set for 2 people and 1 Turban shell rice. Everything is fresh and delicious. Staff would teach us how to grill those seafood. You will get 💯 food by following their instructions. Highly recommended ❣️

Awesome small restaurant run by an old couple. For dinner they only accept guests with reservation, but they were kind enough to make an exception for us. The next day was sunny, and it had a long line for lunch, so maybe reservation for lunch is also recommended. The food was really fresh and very tasty. I can really recommend the sake tasting set, where you get 3 small cups of different sake. If you're unsure, just go with their recommendation. We got 3 sweet and 3 dry sake, and they were all different. We ate a lot and paid ~8000 yen for two people for two sake tasting sets, two sets of tempura, a fish grilled on our table, shellfish cooked in sake, and Japanese risotto.

Went there for lunch after heading back from Kasamatsu Park viewing point, it was just slightly after their peak lunch time and I was seated immediately. Order the サービスランチセット (Service lunch set ) that consists a bowl of rice, a small bowl of soba, some tempura, some sashimi, a small bowl of soup and, can't resist to order their clams with soup (I ordered the one with cooking wine).

A bit expensive I think, but the fish and any other sea food are fresh and tasty. Staffs were fast and lovely.
