Mikasa Kaikan Yamato Review Summary

The staff at this teppanyaki restaurant in Ginza are absolutely lovely, and the food is delicious. While the decor may seem a bit dated, once the cooking begins, you'll be entirely captivated by the culinary performance in front of you. Our chef prepared the seafood and steak to perfection, and my wife particularly enjoyed the excellent rosé wine. This was our second visit, and we will definitely return for another special occasion.

I wanted eat teppanyaki in Japan. Googled and found a couple places. Super famous restaurants were of course already fully booked. So I decided to try here. The restaurant looked a little old BUT service was great and the chef who cooked our foods was fantastic. She knew what she was cooking. Explained where those veggies and meats were coming from, how she was preparing. I asked a couple questions about how to cook on griddle since I just got a stove has griddle in my kitchen and wanted to know how to cook. She explained so well. And food were fantastic and price was pretty good too. Thank you so much for having us. It was one of the best food we ate in Japan!

The best restaurant in Tokyo!
I had an incredibly delicious dinner at Yamato. The variety of food, including Japanese black beef, scallop, shrimp, vegetables, and fried rice, was absolutely perfect. When I made a reservation and mentioned my mom's birthday, they surprised us with a cake lettering and joined in the celebration, which made us extremely happy. They even took a photo for us. It was truly the best dining experience.

All the staff and chefs were so friendly and polite.

The ingredients were all very fresh.
I really enjoyed the grilled seafood, not to mention Kobe beef.

Want to visit again in my next trip.
