I always buy from online shops. The chestnut steamed yokan, available for a limited time, has a good balance of chestnuts and red beans and is exquisite. The sweets called Yubae are crumbly and melt in your mouth. It has just the right amount of sweetness and makes a great souvenir. The packaging was careful and I was happy to receive the letter. The wrapping paper is a map of Kyoto. I learned about Okuraya through Jakucho Setouchi's book. I would like to go to the store someday.
