Misono Shinjuku Branch Review Summary

I was looking for a traditonal Teppanyaki style Japanese restaurant. The food was amazing, seafood and meat was excellent. Highly recommended. In terms of service they did struggle to understand us, and did not bring out abalone like we ordered. We just left it alone.

I made a reservation for 7 pm but arrived at 6:40 pm, asked to wait outside the restaurant. After waiting for 10 minutes, I inquired about having a drink while waiting and was reluctantly given a seat after the second request. We ordered a beef set, but I opted for lobster. The food was decent but expected better considering the price. The view was satisfactory until you approached the window—be cautious of the step. The ventilation was poor, and my clothes smelled strongly after dinner. I didn't try the beef, but my colleague mentioned it was decent. The fried bean sprouts were bland, but the lobster was tasty. The wine list was limited and not budget-friendly. The chef, aged 70-80, showcased impressive culinary skills despite long hours. An inspiring spirit that keeps going in life.

I enjoyed Japanese teppanyaki with a stunning sky view at a restaurant on the 51st floor. I highly recommend ordering the Kobe beef it was absolutely amazing

Misono restaurant located on the 51st floor, offering breathtaking views of the cityscape. However, the overall ambiance and culinary experience fell short of expectations, meriting a 3-4 star rating. Given the price point, I anticipated a more exceptional quality in both service and dishes. On a positive note, the sake selection was spectacular, standing out as the highlight of the evening.

We had lunch. Tempo of food was bit fast to us, but we are slow eaters. Everything else was as we expected and good value for money. We had 10 yo with us who is very picky eater, but they adjusted to his needs.
