Moheji Shibuya Scramble Square Review Summary

Nice place with kind atmosphere.
Nao-chan so kind and gave us a nice service. She also make us a nice recommendation to have a nice monja.
Great place to enjoy some food speciality from Tokyo ^^

thoroughly enjoyed our chicken curry keema and clam chowder with scallops orders. the service took a bit long, but it was worth trying. they did serve us an egg appetizer and the staff cooks your order for you.

i think there’s an option where you get to cook your own monjayaki, but we weren’t well versed and opted to be served. the queue going in was also long as it was nearing closing time and most of the shibuya sky visitors do have dinner around the area after.

It was the first time for me to have monjayaki in Tokyo. It was perfectly delicious 😊 thanks to TAIKI who was my private chef during he cooked for my grill. He is very friendly. I have remembered that I told him one episode, that I asked one of the staffs who is nineteen years old that I said “which one is better alcohol tasty between two?”with seeing menu 😆. We had a lot of fun sharing that. 👋

Great location for okonomiyaki and Monjayaki. Definitely worth trying the cod roe and rice cake monjayaki. The staff cooks it at the table so no worries there. The okonomiyaki is actually prepared in the kitchen and takes about twenty minutes. Each meal starts with an egg omelette cooked to order at table. Go early but don’t be that afraid of line as it moves quickly. Staff is very nice and helpful for English speakers and menu has good English descriptions. On 12 th floor of scramble just to the right as you get off escalator.

This place is located inside Scramble Square12th flloor. You need to line up for your turn get a seat.
There are seat charge here which they serve you appetizer. Appetizer is egg roll. It cost ¥400 for each person on the seat charge. You need to order each person one dish. We came 4 people so we need to order 4 dishes.
We order mentaiko and mochimonja, yonezawa pork balls, moheji scrambled fried noodles and anko roll.
The waiter or waitress will do the cooking for each customers. Their service are slow. They have quite a number of waiter or waitress but they just walking or standing. The system is not efficient.
The food we order was on our table but have to wait for them to cook. It take so long for them to cook each dishes. After we finish one we waited quite long to get the next one cook. The waiting time make you no desire to looking forward for the next food.
Anko roll the texture is dry and the red bean doesn't taste nice. Moheji scrambled fried noodles taste not bad.
Price is on the high side. I will think twice before come back to this place.
