Moriichi Jimbocho is in Tokyo and a longstanding establishment that upholds the traditional art of Edomae sushi. Priced reasonably at just 150 yen per plate, this restaurant stands out for its welcoming and energetic female staff who serve sushi with a warm smile. The lively atmosphere inside, with a multitude of female clerks, creates a comfortable dining experience that's perfect for both locals and visitors.
The restaurant's setup is thoughtfully designed, with a separate conveyor belt for sushi and a rail for ordered dishes. This separation ensures a seamless and convenient ordering process. The recent renovation has left the interior looking pristine and stylish. While there are two lanes for conveyor belt sushi, during my visit, only the lower lane featured advertisements, with sushi orders coming from the upper lane, prompted by touchscreen panel orders.
The quality of the sushi ingredients here is top-notch. They offer a warm take on conveyor belt sushi, standing out with their red shari, fresh wasabi, and special soy sauce. The service is impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff. The use of touchscreen panels simplifies the ordering process, ensuring a swift delivery of your favorite nigiri. Remarkably, even after indulging to your heart's content, the bill typically stays under 4,000 yen, making it a true gem in terms of cost-to-quality ratio. Overall, this is a beautiful and efficient restaurant that delivers a superb sushi experience.
