Great authentic place for a quick lunch. Seems to be frequented by locals (who know each other) and they know best! You have to get lucky or wait. It's pretty small and it was non-stop busy.

As a westerner and new to Soba I am no expert but this was good food in an authentic atmosphere served by excellent staff. As it was cheaper than La Gavroche and no long waiting list I think it was great value. Locals love it, as the people next to us come regularly and rated it as number 1 in Tokyo.
