Nagomi Review Summary

Tasty food and nice design in the restaurant. It was a bit tricky with the reservation as they are not to welcoming for foreigners and speak a little English. The downside was that the chef was smoking cigarettes in the kitchen (which is an open kitchen, so you can smell it inside).
Wagyu beef, sushi and grilled lotus root were very tasty.

The restaurant is quite small but we didn't have to wait to get in. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. They have an English menu and the staff are extremely patient and helpful. The portions of each item are small so you order a bunch of different ones like tapas. Highly recommended.

My wife and I stepped in for a late night dinner before closing. We had a small sample size for the many options they had. But for the food we had, it was so fresh and delicious. Especially the steak. Wasn’t your typical slab of steak.

We had a small issue with reservations due to a mistake between our hotel and the restaurant, however - they did their best to accommodate us and we eventually didn’t even wait long. The service was extremely friendly even if their English wasn’t perfect and the food was amazing.
The wagyu meal was especially good, but we also really enjoyed the lotus root meal, the fried eggplant in dashi, the tempura sea eel and we asked the chef for his favorite - chicken and green onion in some broth which was also delicious.
We also tried a dry sake which was really really good!
The music was calm, the staff were friendly and helpful and all in all the ambiance was perfect.
Reservations are not necessarily needed, but if you want to be sure it wouldn’t hurt.
Definitely a good dinner choice and we had a great time!

food was good, atmosphere was great, and service was exceptional. got a 5 star experience for half the price. staff speaking decent English was a huge plus. course meal sounded delicious but requires reservations. we walked in so ordered many dishes. like tapas, plated were small. 3 of us ordered sashimi set, nigiri set (not handrolls) grilled mackerel, obanzai set, tempura set, baby rolls, and grilled duck. sake and white wine here were delicious. draft beer is kirin. came out to around 4000 yen/person
