Namikibashi Nakamura Honten Review Summary

Food was magical and staff was incredibly nice. They only have a Japanese menu, and the staff was so patient with us and even helped us translate each item. Atmosphere is also very upscale & nice. Highly recommend this place!

This place is a gem! The menu was in Japanese, so chef Taiki-san helped us out by giving us recommendations and figuring out what we would like. He also recommended the perfect portions for us without forcing us to over-order.

The food was excellent, with their own twists in regular dishes.

If you’re uncomfortable with this approach, you can try just ordering the omakase menus. You can’t go wrong I think:

Maybe I had pretty height expectation but I feel the food didn’t meet my expectations. Of course it was not bad, but it was just okay considering it was pricier than other good places. One thing I really didn’t like was the floor was very sticky.

I had an amazing experience of Japanese cuisine in this place! I’ve tried many different types of food. My favourite was the squid! Normally I’m not fan of the squid but here, in this place - it was so DELICIOUS! Staff was amazing! Nice and kind and the atmosphere just perfect☺️

Fantastic first dinner ever in Tokyo! We arrived just this evening and were looking for places to eat around the hotel.

We had a fabulous omakase experience! Tried dished we would never otherwise would. Staff was so amazing and friendly, and even with the language barrier (we know 0 Japanese) we had a great time.
