Pretty good restaurant. It was not feeling being in Japan but in Italy. The pizza that we took and the salad were really good. And the dessert as well.
I really recommend that place if you want a good pizza.
However I found it a bit expensive

In July 2023, I had the pleasure of visiting Napule, an Italian restaurant located in the Minamiaoyama district of Tokyo, Japan. As I entered the restaurant on the second floor, I was immediately captivated by the cozy ambiance and the unique window ceiling that allowed natural light to flood the space, creating an inviting atmosphere reminiscent of alfresco dining. The decor, though basic, added to the charm with its rustic, countryside-style, family-run restaurant vibes. It felt like stepping into a little slice of Italy in the heart of Tokyo.

The evening began with an order of lemon caprese, and I must say, it was a pleasant surprise. The burrata was wonderfully creamy and paired beautifully with the ripe tomatoes, providing a delightful burst of flavors and textures. However, what truly caught me off guard was the addition of a lemon granita to the dish. While not something you'd typically find in Italy, it added a refreshing and tangy element to the caprese, creating a unique twist that I surprisingly enjoyed.

Moving on to the main course, I opted for the fettuccine Bolognese, and I was not disappointed. The fettuccine itself was a standout, clearly handcrafted with care and cooked to perfection. The pasta had a delicate texture that married well with the rich Bolognese ragout. The sauce was expertly balanced, showcasing a medley of flavors from the slow-cooked meat and aromatic herbs. Each bite transported me to the streets of Bologna, making me appreciate the authenticity of the dish and reaffirming my love for Italian cuisine.

To complement my meal, I decided to indulge in a glass or two of the house red wine. While it wasn't the most remarkable wine I've tasted, it served as a decent accompaniment to the flavorful dishes. The wine had a respectable body with subtle fruity notes and a smooth finish, enhancing the overall dining experience without overpowering the flavors of the food.

No Italian meal would be complete without a sweet ending, and Napule's cannolo did not disappoint. The crispy shell gave way to a creamy and indulgent ricotta filling, perfectly balancing the textures and flavors. It was a satisfying treat that transported me back to the streets of Sicily, reminding me of the authentic Italian desserts I've come to love.

Considering the quality of the dishes and the overall dining experience, the bill of around JPY 5,000 was reasonable. While Napule may not boast a sophisticated ambiance, its rustic charm and commitment to authentic Italian flavors make it a worthwhile visit for those seeking a taste of Italy in the heart of Tokyo.

Overall, my experience at Napule was neutral. While the restaurant may not have left a lasting impression, it delivered enjoyable and authentic Italian dishes that satisfied my cravings. If you're in the Minamiaoyama area and looking for a cozy spot to enjoy Italian cuisine, Napule is worth a visit.

Spaghetti is very good and al dente. Pizza taste just right, not too salty and the dough is chewy. Finish the meal with Tiramisu as the dessert make me fill completed.
