Recommended by a local and came after a colleague said he would dine here two days in a row.

Started queueing around 5.30pm, and waiting time was less than an hour. Since it was my last meal in Tokyo I ordered the biggest bowl with top ups and was well worth it.

Near the end of the meal, you can even ask the chef to add soup to the rice and finish the bowl in a different way.

Fresh, tasty and filling and will definitely be back if time permits.

As with most Japanese restaurants, you are expected to come, dine and move on (especially with the queue outside).

Like most of the nice famous food there is a long queue of 1hour even at 2pm. They use different way to make kaisen don which mince fish and crab meat to top the rice, some small chuck of the seafood (should be octopus or clam) can still be tasted. Sesame added to the rice also make the taste different. The last quarter of rice they recommend to eat with hot soup, a different experience and taste good. It is recommended to try but do consider the time require for queuing.

Went there at 4:25pm, and waited exactly 1 hr until I was seated.

Sashimi is fresh and naturally sweet. You are supposed to finish 2/3 of the bowl and ask the chef to pour the broth into the bowl to enjoy the dish in a different way. Chef also asked if you would like to add more rice before he pour the broth. I enjoyed the dish overall but more without the broth.

Worth the wait if the wait is under 1 hr.

Such an amazing experience, from beginning to end.
Be there at least an hour before opening though, I got here at 10am and I was the 4th person. I waited an hour to be seated but it was worth it. The seafood was so so fresh and the broth at the end with the rice was the perfect “ending”. Service was great and fast.

Amazing food and fish was sashimi right in front of you, but be mindful that the line is extremely long 2-4 hours. We waited since 3pm and did not get in until 5pm. I also recommend that you should do some research before coming as you would have to eat the food in a certain order. However the food was amazing and I would definitely come back.
