Not so good first impression. However...
Absolutely lovely elder lady serving the best dumplings I ever tasted.

Today we visited Nikko, and wanted to have gyoza. We stopped by this Chinese restaurant. We ordered gyoza, fujian style X.O sauce fried and almond pudding and soup noodle. The fujian style fried rice was amazingly good, highly recommend. The gyoza is super goofy. The almond pudding was also top of my expectation. I even ordered my second almond pudding! If you are in town, highly recommend to stop over.

Reliable, affordable, and tasty. A solid 4 star. English menus are available and the place is good for families with small children. It’s small, so try to get in before the meal rush.
Staff is friendly, but service can be a bit slow since they are a bit under staffed. Be patient.

My wife and I visited Suien in Nikko today. We ordered gyoza, fujian style X.O sauce fried rice, gomoku ramen and Almond pudding. The fried rice is exceptional good, highly recommend. It’s gyoza also above expectation. The almond pudding was so good that I placed my second order.

Great value, tasty Chinese/Canto cuisine. English menu available, lovely staff. We took a Fried Rice with XO Sauce, some DimSums, and Gyoza. and a big bottle of beer. Everything tastes so fresh it feels like it's homemade. The rice is quite a big portion, so be sure to share it with someone if you have a small appetite or you would like to taste more than one item from the menu. Dimsums and Gyoza is a must try! The gyoza was so big and juicy. The dimsums were so fresh, I think this might be the best dimsum I've had in Japan so far and it is so cheap! We left with exploding stomachs and it only costs us less than 4,000 yen.
