I ate a croquette here. I find menchi katsu to be too meaty so just opted to eat a regular potato croquette. This is one of the BEST croquette I’ve eaten in Japan. Even better than the Hokkaido potato one I tried in Azabudai Hills market. It was soft and it wasn’t dry or overly oily. I would eat this any time.

Came here in the secret food tour and had the popular croquette. Extemely crispy and flavorful. I like it more than the curry one. Unique and a must try if you're in the area!

Curry Beef Croquettes (99Y) filled with spices, curry and potato. Beef Croquet (88Y) can taste more of the beef without the curry. Both are tasty.

Noto Beef Dice (1990Y) has a nice texture to it, pretty good.

Chicken Namban (1200Y) is nice too.

    Service is slow tonight.

The Ameya alley is pretty touristy, this place seems local with good value.

It was a nice restaurant! We went at around 1600 and it wasn't too busy to sit inside and have our meal. After 1700 though, it got quite busy, so it's best to get there early. No English menu, and my Japanese isn't perfect, but I went with Japanese friends and had no issues. Croquettes were fresh and delicious, and so was everything else! Definitely worth the visit.

    Good menchi katsu!
The katsu is really warm, crispy, and juicy but a little bit oily. Must be pair so good with beef
They can speak little english so no problem with the order at all!
