We found this place near our hotel in our first night în Kyoto. We liked everything about it, the beef was delicious, kimchi was also great, we were seated instantly (such an important thing in japan, because there are a lot of queues in a lot of places). It was a really pleasant experience. It is not that pricey, when you think of wagyu; we payed around 10 000 yen for 2 people (we had two 11 parts beef menus that also had some vegetables, a medium bowl of rice, a portion of kimchi and two sodas).

Been there 1 month ago and found the restaurant by coincidence....What a surprise! The place is not so big, with 7 seat on a bench and few floor sitting options. The meat was extremely tasty and loved the idea of cooking it your self. Staff extremely polite and welcoming. Been there twice during the whole vacation and HIGHLY recommended. Ask for the big meat platter...you won't regret it.

Found this hidden gem near our hotel which is right next to train station. We loved the cosy ambience and great cut of beef. Their ochachuke is fantastic!
