On Monday 16 December 2024 when restaurant opened their doors for business at 12p.m was a super perfect experience that started my journey into bliss. Omakase chef's skills was stupendous. He was amused yet perplexed as to video recording & silent photo shoot I was doing (the woman with snowman earmuffs). The photos tell the story of how precise each sushi was made. My family & I cannot wait to return. Worth every Yen on the Premium menu we spent each.

This place was absolutely amazing! We were going on a stroll in Nishiki market and stumbled across this sushi place. They have options to do a few different omakase choices, assorted options, or a la cart. We did omakase and assorted salmon and every piece melted in my mouth. The freshness of the fish was unreal! The master sushi chef and other other sushi chef were super welcoming and really enjoyed watching how much we enjoyed every bite. The younger chef spoke very good English and master chef spoke some but I think he understood more. The master chef has been practicing making sushi for over 42 years which everything we experienced def shows that.
I would 100% recommend this place, reservations are recommended as they only have a total of maybe 12 seats? We got lucky just being two people to squeeze in but we saw many people get rejected or had to put their name down.

Experienced Omakase for the first time and this restaurant did not dissapoint. The master chef prepared each piece of sushi with sharp precision, passion and boldness, using exceptionally premium ingredients to give the final result of a rich, beautiful and unique taste. The sushi really tasted different and of a higher class compared to the conventionally consumed sushi.
Overall, the spectacle demonstrated in making the cuisine along with savouring each piece was a true blend of art and fine dining.

Service was extremely slow. After seated for 45mins, food was still not served (2 customer that entered at the same sitting have already finish their meal and left). Hygiene was terrible, the younger chef did not even have a cloth to clean his hands, touching the fridge, sink and fish without washing or wiping his hands. He also then proceeded to put a tray of uncut fish on top of the sink, hands constantly touched the order sheet without cleaning. Knife skill was also terrible, uneven slices and a slab of raw fish was just thrown on the cutting board touching plates. Also had no experience with cutting up kanpachi and had to get guidance from old chef(not very skilled too)
Food taste wise, was okay, not fantastic. Rice is a little uncooked.

My favorite sushi restaurant in all of kyoto!! so affordable, sushi is SO FRESH & the way the chefs dress the sushi is amazing. We loved the omakase and even came back a second time a few days later!! The sushi chefs are so friendly and very knowledgeable about their craft. The atmosphere is great here as well. I cannot recommend this place enough!! One of my favorite restaurants in japan will definitely be back here!!
Was here in august and came for lunch right when they opened and also for dinner around 520 and there was no line/wait either of times but quickly got busy! No reservation needed but wouldnt hurt to make one in case
