Ogawa Coffee - Kyoto Station

5 star is for the coffee 👍
It has a really good coffee to compare with many chain coffee shops.
It’s specialty coffee in a chain shop so probably more like Blue Bottle or Verve or Stumptown…etc as opposed to Starbucks ,etc.

They roast their own coffee. Today, I got a
B type, Panama Esmeralda Natural, which is less acidity and medium roasted and fruity . My hubby got an A type , Brazil Daterra Plot Washed, which is more acidity, less aroma and medium body.
Both are really good 👍

They serve breakfast. They have a set that is quite nice.

There are milk substitutes if you’re lactose intolerant. I got mine with oat milk.

Service is good.
Employees are helpful & knowledgeable and speak some English.

One worker we met was American and was super great and can explain coffee types etc.

Nice latte, pretty smooth and easy to drink. Seems a bit more bitter than the other branch I visited yesterday, but not by much. Staff was also friendly and kind enough to sell me the beans they use for the latte.

This was unique in a way that there was a white guy taking orders at the counter lol. He speaks both English and Japanese, and took orders efficiently but still very hospitable.

The coffee was good! I got a latte, I can't remember if I got it with oat or almond milk, the milk curdled a bit but nothing I can't drink. There were tables but at 5pm on a Friday it was full. They still served the coffee quickly :) They also had beans for sale.
