Wow! Be prepared to queue as they don’t take reservations. If you plan to dine at 5:30 pm when they open, it's advisable to join the queue at least half an hour earlier. The restaurant offers a fantastic traditional Japanese atmosphere. If there are only two of you, expect to dine at a shared table with other guests, so be prepared for a social evening. Among the dishes, I highly recommend the soft shell crab, agedashi tofu, kimchi octopus, apple salad, and eel. It's a feast at a reasonable price!

Ate here twice only because they do not take reservations which is a blessing in this town. Be sure to get there at 4:55pm on the dot to ensure seats by 5:30pm.

Massive line to get in, we failed to get in and had to return the next day 45 minutes before opening to be in the front of the line. The food was fantastic and exceptional quality, definitely worth the wait. The softshell crab are fantastic! They take visa or cash.

The place is always packed. I enjoy every single dish, especially the ohyokkuri (Nagano style soup). You can order separately or together with rice set. Sushi is just good quality as Japanese food but not much special.
