2023 Summer update. Finally got back to Kanazawa. We went to Olive twice in a week because it is that good. You still need to make reservations - preferably a few days ahead of time, especially if you have a party of more than 2. Had the seafood appetizer and the spicy pasta with cabbage. Excellent, of course.
It seems that since covid, they don't do lunch any more. Only dinner, starting at 6:00.

Great food. Cozy atmosphere. For dinner, go early or make reservations - it is a small place (seats maybe 30 total?) and everyone takes their time. Once it is full, you'd be very lucky to get seated that evening.

I met you for dinner.
Is it necessary to order an appetizer platter to reserve a seat? As? I couldn't believe how large the portion was, so I ordered ajillo and other dishes and was full.
