There’s a great yakiniku place near Nakameguro Station that specialises in horumon (offal). My top recommendations are the harami (skirt steak), tongue, and cartilage.

Oddly enough for a horumon spot, the veg is absolutely banging—make sure to try the whole green peppers, yam, and okra. They’re a must-order.

Oh, and heads up: it’s cash only, so don’t forget to bring some with you.

Small tiny place, a bit squeezed on my opinion.

Charcoal grill yakiniku with large amounts os food, isn’t cheap but not crazy expensive.

Delicious TKG and nice meat !

This restaurant is not recommended. Unfriendly and rude staff towards guests forced me to get up and leave the restaurant before the food was served. He didn't treat us like guests and he didn't guide us properly in an overbearing manner. I didn't want to ruin the time in a very uncomfortable atmosphere. We may have been discriminated against because we are foreigners. This is the first time in my long life in Japan that I have had such a shocking experience.

Reservations only, minimum 3000 yen per person demanded, good food but small and cramped.
