The menu outside seemed affordable but the price inside is so high I thought it was an error or some kind of foreigner tax. The food is ok, but my local bistro in Nakano is at least as good for 1/4 the price and you can find 10 or 20 other places with the same food at a fraction of the price across Tokyo. Also, there was no music so totally silent and the restaurant was empty on a Friday night so it was odd. The service as others have mentioned is very slow. There was also a very odd your device is hacked message on the payment machine which was very disconcerting and I could not pay with a credit card, luckily I had enough cash. Perhaps it's an unlucky case of everything going wrong at once, but unfortunately, given the owner seems to have good intentions, my conclusion is this place is a rip off.

Excellent restaurant with very high quality food. Space is very limited though so reservations can be a good idea. This is very much a one-man band. The owner does all the cooking and serving so expect slow service but the food is worth it. Turning up early at lunchtime can be successful.

Delicious lunch menu beautifully served, good quality products for caprese and chocolate mousse. Chef studied in Italy.

Single chef operation. Food is good without anything exceptional. Service could be improved.

Today we went to Osteria Assai where you can enjoy a casual Italian a la carte meal.
Thank you for your willingness to accept last-minute reservations.
Non-alcoholic sparkling wine and other wines are available, making it a safe Italian restaurant for those who love coffee.
This time, we chose all of our recommended seasonal dishes. It is a style where you can choose what you like from a la carte. They have a wide variety of wines, so I thought it would be a good idea to come and enjoy some wine while having a few snacks!
First, the appetizer was prosciutto with carciohi. Carchohi and prosciutto go well together.
Next was the pear and foie gras appetizer. This also goes very well with the creamy foie gras and pear.
Next was Kobako crab pasta. It contained one to a whole crab and had a luxurious taste.
Next was the famous white truffle and egg risotto. It has a simple taste and is very rich. It kind of reminded me of Turin, which I went to a long time ago.
Finally, the main course, sautéed chestnut pork, served with zucchini and carrots. The meat here was also very delicious!
Thank you very much for today!
