Very nice diner inside the Imperial Hotel Tokyo. The service is great and the atmosphere is what a diner should have. The food is also very good. But of course, this is nothing like a traditional Japanese, and may not be what I was expecting when coming to Tokyo.

    Breakfast review for hotel guest:
Modern interior on the ground door with American dinner style interior of red walls with red circular seating with some square table seating.

The food selection for breakfast is limited to a set menu for hotel guest with green breakfast vouchers. No fruits on offer for breakfast. They wanted to charge more for mushrooms in the plain omelette- ridiculous.

Coffee was americano style- could have been better and the orange juice out of a carton.
Food was surprisingly better than expected with the omelette being particularly good. Bacon and sausage was above average.

The food at the Viking Sar on the 17th floor is much better for breakfast with a better selection.

Good atmosphere and average services, very average in fact below average food considering the price. Though I think people mostly dine in here for the environment. Hotel guest are entitled to 10% discount, you have to mention it when you ask for the bill, since they won’t mention it, maybe the lunch deal is better.

The Lunch Service was professional and polite, but the space lacks any sense of atmosphere and the food portions were small, and
mediocre at best. I understand I’m paying a hotel premium, but a 5 star hotel restaurant should be able to create better value for the price tag..

    - ¥2,500 for a Caesar Salad which was essentially a plate of lettuce
    - ¥3,200 for the club sandwich which was not bad, but too small. The fries were lacking any inspiration.
    - ¥1,800 for a 350ml Japanese draft beer

Waking up early and going to enjoy breakfast at this restaurant is the most valuable morning. Tastes perfect, and their service is incredible.

To take a break, you can stop by this restaurant to have a pancake with coffee or cream soda. You can enjoy the classic tea break menu too.
