This is the Tokyo outpost of the eponymous Paris-based chef. The desserts and pastries are all French, but many of them use Japanese ingredients (e.g. yuzu, wasabi, matcha, houjicha, etc). The wasabi macaron sells out quickly, so you should go early if you want to try it.

One side of the store is a traditional pastry shop, and the other is a café. I would recommend that you take photos of the pastries in the display counters before sitting down because they will let you order anything you want even if it’s not on the café menu. I had the tasting plate which came with small samples of 8 of the most popular desserts - beautifully presented and each one was delicious in its own way. Unlike traditional Japanese confections, many of the flavors here are pretty intense (especially the chocolate ones), so I would just keep that in mind.

As for drinks, you can go with the traditional coffee/tea route, but you can also go with champagne - like a half-bottle of Lanson. It was a very decadent, delectable way to spend an afternoon in Tokyo.

The “Degustation Royal” cake set was a feast for both the eyes and palate. Each miniature cake was exquisitely crafted, offering a range of flavors from rich chocolate to refreshing matcha and tangy fruit layers. The textures were perfectly balanced, making every bite a new discovery. Paired with their black coffee, which was smooth and robust with a subtle bitterness, the combination was indulgent yet refined. The elegant interior of the patisserie, with its bright and luxurious ambiance, added to the overall experience😍

    APRIL 2023

When I visited the store it was busy so decided to takeout a number of cakes. The staff at the counter was patient and helpful with answering some questions about the cakes. The matcha related desserts had a mild matcha flavor, especially the 'Bamboo' where the chocolate ganache was overpowering, alcohol flavor was also quite strong. The 'Saya' cake had a strong sweet strawberry cream layer but the Frasier definitely tastes better with the strawberries and cream sandwich between the soft dacquoise. The other favorite was the 'Paradis fraises' which was essentially a big macaron with plenty of sweet strawberries and pistachio cream and praline, the combination of flavors and texture was divine. It was definitely expensive but the frasier and the macaron cake which I enjoyed a lot was well worth it.

One of my favorite dessert shops on my visit to Tokyo. We came in at night and got the strawberry pistachio macaron, raspberry ice cream macaron, and a few assortments of the sable cookies.

I'm not a huge macaron person but the strawberry pistachio macaron was so good. The filling had fresh strawberry and a nice but not overwhelming pistachio flavor. The sable cookies weren't too sweet, but nice and buttery and crumbly.

There's a lot of stuff here that is great for gifting (ex: jams, cookies, macarons) and I wish I'd gotten more of those sable cookies.

The staff here is also very friendly while I was browsing around and finding a gift. They also packaged everything with ice so that I could bring back and eat it, which was super sweet.
