Pizzeria Bakka M'unica Review Summary

About 10 years ago I tried Yutaka-san’s pizza when he was just one pizza food truck in an alley in Shibuya. I finally made it to his shop and wish I had gone sooner. Although he did not make the pizza, it was still delicious and the crust was same I remembered. This is real Neapolitan-style pizza…a bit soupy in the center but in the best way possible. The flavors are still spot on and it was great to enjoy the pizza in Tokyo in a place not filled with tourists, unlike many of the hot spots in central Tokyo where the quality has noticeably gone down. Cute vibe with an actual furnace. Very friendly even though I only spoke English and basic japanese. Will be back again!

Great pizza, atmosphere, and service. IPAs pair well with the pizza. A bit pricey but worth the price. 10/10

I recently dined at this restaurant and unfortunately, it was quite a disappointing experience. The pizza with burrata had an extra burnt flavour and lukewarm, which was not what I expected. The pasta, on the other hand, was undercooked, lukewarm and strangely sweet, rather than the desired al dente texture. To make matters worse, the potatoes served alongside were fried in carcinogenic canola oil. Female staff was subtly bitter & rude when reported about the food.

Paying 5500 JPY for this meal left me with not only a bad taste in my mouth but also a noticeable impact on my health. I regret to say that I won't be revisiting this restaurant in the future. The overall dining experience was far from enjoyable, and I expected more for the price I paid.

The four cheese honey pizza is the best pizza I've ever eaten! No idea why this place isn't more highly rated. Both pizzas I tried were amazing. Also the staff were all lovely!
