Came here at 11:20 on a Sunday before opening and was second in line. Got seated right away when they opened at 11:30. We were a group of 4 and paid 4300 each for sharing appetizers, 2 pastas, 2 pizzas. They didn’t offer free water, so we didn’t drink anything. The food was expensive for the quality of the food. It’s decent food and had high expectations, but we were quite disappointed. Had to go to a convenience store right away to buy some drinks. They only allow you stay for probably an hour and a half and ask for last orders 1 hour after being seated.

Heard from my friend that ate there a few years ago that the quality decreased and the price increased. Not sure if it is worth it to wait there in line and spend a lot of money despite the awards they received.

Finally got to try this place around my station on a Sunday night. Full of reservations so I did take out, the service and atmosphere were good unlike other reviews. BUT the pizza dough is half raw!! I had to put in oven for a few minutes.
I was shocked 😮 and 100% sure it’s not the melted cheese. I expected at least eatable standards for the quality of food at a famous place like this and the price

Went here back in 2023 and was one of the best pizzas I’ve had. 2 years later the price has gone up but the quality has gone down.

Antipasto platter was still very tasty, lots of different things to try. Pizza was honestly quite bland and lacking flavor. Maybe they cut corners and changed ingredients from 2 years ago, because it tasted no different to cheap 1,000 yen pizza you can get elsewhere.

No butter/olive oil with the bread was a bit odd, as was the lack of tap water. Didn’t have a drink with my food because I didn’t want to pay 700 yen for mineral water. Sets a bad tone from the start.

Service is not the typical warm service you find in Japan, but doesn’t really bother me since I’m a foreigner too and don’t mind the hands off approach.

The atmosphere/decor of the place is nice, but there are a lot of better places to spend 3,500 on lunch in Tokyo.

If you are after a napolitain pizza while in Tokyo, there is the place to go.

Not surprising that pizzeria da Peppe ranks very high in the top pizzas in Asia.

    We had
    - the ham and buffalo, it was very nice, the mozzarella was delicious.
    - the octopus salad was lovely, the portion was generous.
(The bread served was not nice. A pity, was not fresh).
Then the pizzas arrived and they were absolutely delicious.
We had one Marguerite’s and one Calabrian.
The dough was fluffy and livht. The toppings were great quality and the whole taste was amazing.
We even had to order a second serving!!
We were in Naples 6 months ago and seriously it tasted like the one you get there.
    Congratulations to pizzeria de Peppe.

Don’t forget to have the tiramisu, a real home made one and it’s delicious, I wished the portion would have been bigger!

Don’t hesitate, go and have a pizza.

This place has been on my list for a long time, and I finally got around to going. And it was awesome. The appetizer plate was packed full of flavors which was a great start. Then the pizza came and is some of the best I’ve had in Tokyo. There was a daily pasta that was delicious, and the Italian person I was with was impressed too. So you know it’s legit. Put this one on your list and don’t wait like me.
