R Restaurant & Bar Review Summary

Went to the bar at the top floor restricted to hotel guests. Breathtaking view to enjoy while sipping on the Kuniguni cocktail. Amazingly served by the bartender. It’s like watching an artist at work. Great drink.

Came for afternoon/dinner drinks but ended up having some appetizers/dinner with our drinks. We did not have a reservation but got seated right away. We asked to sit outside and that was no problem. Got a magnificent view and the food was fantastic.

Came here last week for lunch as they have a lunch promo. Went for the 2 course meal (or you can pay 600 yen more to add the dessert) and overall, I would say it is okay.

I went for the Pork ribs and that was 3/5.
I had 2 glasses of Orange Juice so thats 4/5.
Coffee was fine, and salad was okay.

I was also not fond of how they split our group into 2, whilst many tables for more than 5 were available.

I think management of reservation could've been improved as we could've had a meal as a group together in 1 table.

Overall, would still recommend.. maybe you wont have much issues if you are a smaller group. And yeah, try and make a reservation if you can.

They have great views of the area as well.

Absolutely incredible experience. First of all, they let us in on a busy Saturday night after not being able to find our reservation (that honestly, we probably messed up because of the language barrier). The staff was incredibly accommodating and very kind.
The atmosphere was amazing as well. We sat outside with a perfect view of the Skytree.Also, very well priced for the quality of the food!Lastly, I forgot something on the table and one of the waiters ran out and grabbed it for me.
I wish I had more than 5 stars!

Nice rooftop restaurant/lounge in the Gate hotel. They don’t have a lot of vegetarian/vegan options but what I did have (salad, vegetables with Camembert) was good. Go to get a beautiful view of the city and the Tokyo Skytree
