I've been a Girolean since 1996.
When I lived in Kameido in 2017-2020, I went there every two weeks.
Ramen Jiro is one genre of Japanese ramen that is on par with soy sauce, tonkotsu, miso and sio.
If you're in Kameido, try Hormone Aoki, Kameido Gyoza, and Ramen Jiro Kameido.
The portions are just too much, so if you're a first-time eater, I'd recommend telling them "Men wo hannbun deonegaishimasu ; half a noodle" when handing them your meal ticket.
" Ninniku ire masuka ? ; Would you like to add garlic? " The timing of when you are asked is when to tell them the topping amounts of vegetables, garlic and lard, respectively.
You can have a mountain of veggie toppings that are Instagrammable, but if it's your first time, I recommend keeping it normal.
I'm seriously looking forward to the day when we can eat Jiro anywhere in the world.
If you have plans to open a Jiro in Singapore, give me a shout and I'll fund it.

My favorite Ramen shop in Kameido! I’ve been here at least once a month. I will give you tips here. If you need a little harder ramen noodles you have to say “Katamede” when you put the order on the table. When it’s your turn, they will ask you about additional topping. I would recommend Yasai (vegetable), Ninniku (Garlic), Abura (Fat), Karame (Ramen Sauce). The price is under 1,000¥ with additional Shashu pork already.
