Just a beautiful bowl of ramen. Had the special blackthroat seapearch soba 1250円。the toppings were perfect, meat tender, menma was excellent. Overall it will not disappoint 4.5/5。reasonable price too vs other highly rated tabelog ramen going for 1500円 to 2000円 these days.

One of the staff members had the eyes of Shohei Ohtani so my friends couldn’t take their eyes off of him. My friends’ faces were visibly flushed, though I wasn’t sure whether it was due to the delicious ramen served hot or the hunky staff. It might be more of the latter because they couldn’t help showing their elation when he tried to start a conversation and offered a paper apron.

This review of course shouldn’t really be all about the Shohei of this ramen bar. :) The 味玉のどぐろそば had a distinct taste for a soy-sauce based bowl that wasn’t overpowering. I enjoyed the toppings, too. As for the seats, it was thoughtful of the store owner to include tables for groups instead of the usual layout of a ramen bar with 100% counter seats despite the limited space.

I’ll definitely tell visiting friends that Ramen Kurouzu is one of the ramen bars to visit in Shinjuku.

Not a bad alternative if you want to try different noodles. These ones had a sweet, unusual taste, but good. Went after 2pm on a Saturday and only had to wait less than ten minutes. You can choose between ramen, tsukemen and mazesoba (abura). Pricewise, they are all around 1000 yen.
