Best food yet in Yugawara, yoshoku anyway. This was best French kaiseki we’ve ever had perfect portions, every single course amazing, and for an extremely reasonable price, for this quality of food.

Actually, I was told about this restaurant by a taxi driver before. "It's a nice store."

We took a taxi from Atami and crossed Mt. Izu to arrive. Approximately 10km 25 minutes. It's just 3km from Yugawara Station.

A stately building surrounded by nature. ...It's a little overwhelming.
From the time I made the reservation, I already had a good impression of her due to her kind voice, but a humble madam came out to pick me up. Still a kind response.

I was guided to a seat at the very back, looking at the fresh greenery of the mountain and the pond on my left, and the Nishikigoi in the pond.

I took a seat and looked at the menu.
Actually, since the restaurant name is "En", is it Japanese food? That question was resolved at an early stage, but since I made the reservation the day before without knowing anything about the price or the contents, I didn't know whether it would be French, Italian, or even fusion. .

Apparently risotto is on the menu, but it seems to be French.

It was lunch, but the atmosphere made me want to drink champagne, so I ordered it.

"Croissant with raw ham and cold soup with fresh onions"...This bread is delicious. And new onion soup. Almost perfect. I'm really looking forward to it after this.

*The bread came out here. Butter, olive oil and salt are provided. If you eat the latter with olive oil and salt, the food will go better... They also brought me a replacement bread fairly early. Happy response.

Next, [Appetizer ❶] “Cannelloni made with Sagami Bay squid”…Cannelloni? The cylindrical pasta example? ...And then I thought, this is also squid! Inside are the squid Empera, Geso, and Yamadokukatsu. Attached to the top is a tuile made of squid ink...it's intricate and I admire it. Not only does the squid itself taste delicious, but the skill with which it is cooked to make it soft is also excellent. Of course, it's delicious.

[Appetizer ❷] “Bamboo shoot risotto”…A dish made with bamboo shoots and Japanese pepper that the chef himself picked from the mountain behind the mountain. I'm glad to hear you say this. The rice is Italian... al dente with a core and delicious. The texture of bamboo shoots and the flavor of the soup stock with a hint of butter. very delicious.

[Main ❶Fish] “Poiled greenling from Sagami Bay, Epice flavor”…The greenling has a light but elegant taste. Next to it, the cabbage seasoned with curry-flavored spices (spice) is well balanced.

For palate cleansing [Golden orange granita]

[Main ❷ Meat dish] It seems that charcoal-grilled meat is a specialty, but I was in the mood for ``Ashigara beef cheek stew in red wine (+¥880)'', so I ordered this. ...It's stewed so soft that it falls apart, and the rich red wine sauce is extremely delicious. Other additions include asparagus, snap peas, carrots, radishes, and small onions, and melty mashed potatoes are spread under the cheek meat. When you finish eating, you will feel satisfied to the max.

In addition, the following was prepared for the charcoal-grilled meat dishes.
"Yamayuri Pork Loin", "Lamb (+Â¥1100)", "Wagyu Beef Fillet (+Â¥3300)".

I chose "Strawberry Mille-feuille". My partner ordered "Matcha Tiramisu". In addition,

“Strawberry mille-feuille” is also delicious as expected. The pie part, the cream, the strawberries...the level is high.

My partner's ``Matcha Tiramisu'' is a type I've never had before. The bitterness of matcha and the sweetness of cream create a nice contrast. Delicious and fluffy texture.

Coffee is served here. After that, three types of Mignardise will be available: ``Raw Caramel with Almonds,'' ``Hassaku Tart,'' and ``Raw Chocolate.'' ...The sweetness is quite strong, but they are all delicious.
I love the raw caramel. If you sell it, I want to buy it and take it home.

Every dish was delicious from start to finish. A good shop hidden in Yugawara, or rather Atami City.

At the end, we had a short greeting and conversation with the chef.
Apparently he was originally from Roarabush in Tokyo.
I see, elaborate and delicate dishes also get a lot of attention. As I was eating the food, I realized that ``God is in the details.'' …It was delicious. I'll definitely come again.
